Product Details
Agarwood Hydrosol
Hydrosols are the water that forms during the essential oil extraction of a plant. Agarwood Hydrosol is the water solution left after distillation and separating the oil. It is the condensate water co-produced during the steam distillation of Agarwood and hence it contains small traces of Agarwood oil.
Hydrosols are best stored in a sterile, cool environment to avoid bacterial growth. Hydrosols has been used in cosmetic making such as toner, fragrant mist and SPA-bath.
Hydrosols are produced through a process of steam distillation that utilizes plant materials like flowers, leaves, fruits , stems or barks. During this process, steam extracts both water-soluble and oil-soluble elements from the plants, resulting in a nutrient-dense liquid adorned with a layer of essential oil on top. These Hydrosols maintain small amounts of essential oil, alongside the potent nutrients from the plants.
As a result, they offer therapeutic benefits similar to essential oils, but in a much milder and more gentle form. Typically, there’s less than 0.2 ml of dissolved essential oil in every litre of Hydrosol, making them perfect for everyday use and safe even for individuals with sensitive skin or respiratory issues.
